Introduction to Video Summary

What did you learn? I learned that there are a few different categories that apply to filmmaking. Each of those categories has its own unique techniques that can be used to create a better film. I also learned how to better use iMovie to create the videos needed for each of the assignments.

What was harder than you thought it would be? Creating some of the videos was hard because I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to record. I had to think about it for a while until I thought of recording things I am passionate about which made the assignments enjoyable.

What was easier? Creating the movies was easier than I thought it would be because iMovie is a very user-friendly app to use. You can easily add soundtracks to the background as well as splice photos or videos together to get the result you want. I use iMovie for each of the three assignments and enjoyed making all of them.

What drove you crazy? Why? What drove me crazy was having to split up the big video I took for one of the DS assignment bank assignments. It was a 50-minute long video that I had to pick and choose which parts I wanted to use for the five-minute or longer ending video. After a while, I was able to find all of the good parts I wanted to keep and was able to produce I video that I liked.

What did you enjoy? Why? I enjoyed everything about this assignment. I was able to learn a lot about how directors use different angles and shots to provide energy to films. I enjoyed creating my own videos and being able to make them about things that I personally enjoy. Overall this assignment was very enjoyable from start to finish.
